Societá Storica Italiana
The mission of the Italian Historical Society is to collect, preserve, interpret and promote the history of Italians in Australia.
The Italian Historical Society has extensive collections of historic materials documenting the Italian presence in Australia. These are made available to scholars, writers and the community to assist them in family and community research.
Objects and interpretations of material in the Italian Historical Society collections are presented for students and the public through Museo Italiano displays.
Many items in our collections are of personal interest to people researching family history. Collections are made available for genealogical research.
The Italian Historical Society publishes a biannual journal which carries both academic papers and community contributions.
