Europa to Oceania looks at the migration of the artists’ families from Europe to Australia and the culture they brought with them. Themes include the voyage to Australia and who they are through documentation, religion, entertainment and food. The author of the text both responds to the images and illustrates his own family’s migration and integration.

Angela Cavalieri is an award winning artist who has exhibited widely in Australia and internationally. Angela explores the art of writing in visual form, drawing inspiration from her migrant family background. George Matoulas has been working in paper, bronze, installation and painting since 1987. George too has exhibited widely in Australia and in Italy. Antoni Jach is a novelist, playwright, painter and artist’s book maker.
