Fashion Collection

The Australian fashion industry owes much to Italian migrant couturiers, seamstresses, tailors and shoemakers. The fashion collection begins with the Gold Rush and features the work of pioneers including Madame Itala Serini, who opened Australia's first Italian couture house in Melbourne in 1959.

The collection includes: originals and copies of: dress patterns; fashion magazines; business cards; photographs; scrapbooks; and promotional material.
